Our Love Story Nuptials Agreement

1. INTRODUCTION / PARTIES

WEDDING OFFICIANT AGREEMENT Between Anita R. Turner, a Tennessee Commissioned Notary, acting as a State-Authorized Civil Wedding Officiant, d/b/a Love Story Nuptials, and the parties (Clients) wishing to retain the services offered.

This Wedding Officiant Agreement (the "Agreement") is made between Anita R. Turner, d/b/a Love Story Nuptials (the "Officiant") and the couple identified as clients identified in their required and completed Love Story Intake Form ("Clients" or "Client") with respect to Client's wedding ceremony scheduled as detailed in their Intake Form (the "Event").

2. SCOPE OF SERVICES:

Officiant agrees to provide Wedding Officiant Services ("Services") for Client at the date, time and location as specified in the Intake Form fields and following a customary ‘Vibe Check’ between the Parties.

Officiant agrees to provide the following services as part of this Agreement:

· Initial Consultation: A planning session to learn about the Clients, their story, and ceremony preferences. The Clients agree to provide the confirmed date, time, and location of the wedding ceremony as part of this Agreement. These details will be considered final once submitted by the Clients and accepted by the Officiant.

· Custom Ceremony Design: Creation of a fully personalized wedding ceremony script tailored to the Clients.

· Revisions: Reasonable revisions to the script based on Client feedback.

· Ceremony Rehearsal (if included): Attendance and facilitation of a ceremony rehearsal, if scheduled and agreed upon in advance.

· Officiating the Ceremony: Professional delivery of the ceremony on the wedding day at the specified location and time, unless otherwise arranged. Any changes to the date, time, or location must be communicated in writing and are subject to the Officiant’s availability and approval.

· Legal Filing: Completion and submission of the marriage license at the appropriate government office, if required by law.

· Any additional services outside the scope listed above must be agreed upon in writing and may be subject to additional fees paid by the Clients.

3. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clients agree to the following responsibilities in order to ensure the successful planning and execution of the ceremony:

1. Wedding Ceremony Planning Session: The Clients will participate in a wedding ceremony planning session with the Officiant. This session will be scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time and is essential for discussing the ceremony details, preferences, and any special requirements.

2. Completion of Questionnaire: The Clients agree to complete and submit a wedding ceremony questionnaire provided by the Officiant. This questionnaire must be returned at least 4 (three) weeks prior to the ceremony date to ensure enough time for preparation and customization of the ceremony.

Failure to complete the questionnaire or attend the planning session may result in delays or limitations in the ceremony design and script that removes the full desired effect of the Officiant utilizing the ‘Unboring Wedding’ ceremony platform.

4. OFFICIANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ceremony Preparation: The Official will create and provide a personalized wedding ceremony script based on the Clients‘ preferences, as discussed in the planning session and reflected in the completed questionnaire.

· Arrival and Timeliness: The Officiant will arrive at the ceremony location no less than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to ensure adequate time for preparation.

· Officiating the Ceremony: The Officiant will conduct and lead the wedding ceremony as per the agreed-upon script, ensuring that all key elements of the ceremony are covered.

· Marriage License Filing: The Officiant will complete and submit the necessary legal documents, including the marriage license, to the appropriate government authorities.

· Professionalism: The Officiant will conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and appropriate manner throughout the entire process, from planning to ceremony execution.

5. SCHEDULE:
The "Ceremony Start Time" listed above shall be considered the actual Event Start Time and not Guest "Arrival" or "Invitation" time. Clients agree to do everything in their power to have the ceremony begin within twenty (20) minutes of the "Ceremony Start Time" as specified in the Intake Form and our Agreement.

6. CHANGES:
Changes to this Agreement, derived from the clients Intake Form, including, but not limited to the date, time, and/or location of the Event must be communicated in writing by Client and approved by Officiant in writing before it is confirmed.

7. FEES AND RETAINER:

The total fee for services provided under this Agreement is as indicated by your service selection and as indicated at the Love Story Nuptials website. The fee includes officiating Services for each level of service, and any required local travel within 30 radius miles of U.S. zip code 38329. To secure the Officiant’s services for the agreed-upon date, time and location, the Clients agree to pay a non-refundable retainer of 50% equal to one half of the fee for the service you have selected, paid at the time of booking. No date will be held without receipt of the retainer fee, and to activate this Agreement, at which point the Officiant will start providing Services. Officiant shall receive the remaining 50% balance of said service fee no later than 10 days before the scheduled ceremony date. Payment shall be made via e-transfer, credit card, Apple Pay, or any other method directed by the Officiant, or any payment methods made available via the Love Story Nuptials website. If Client does not remit payment as specified, Officiant has the right to end this Agreement without further obligation to refund money, including the Retainer, or to perform Services at the Event. If additional travel fees are required, they will be stipulated beforehand in an email by the Officiant at the time of Retainer. The retainer is non-transferable and non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation by the Officiant under the terms of this Agreement.

The Retainer can be applied to another date and time as long as Client requests change in writing at least ten (10) days prior to the Event date and Officiant is available. If Officiant is not available at the new date and/or time, all fees paid more than the Retainer will be refunded upon request from Client.

8. TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION:
The Officiant provides services within a 30-mile radius of postal zip code 38329. Travel to the ceremony locations within this radius is included in the total fee.

If the ceremony location is beyond this 30-mile radius, if traveling by vehicle, the Clients agree to pay an additional travel fee of $0.55 USD per mile.

Any required accommodations or additional travel-related expenses (such as charter service, air, train, boat, ferry or tolls) must be discussed in advance and agreed to in writing by the Clients and the Officiant. These costs will be invoiced separately, if applicable.

9. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Cancellations must be communicated in writing. If written notice of Cancellation of Services is provided by Client at least ten (10) days prior to the Event date, any payments beyond the non-refundable retainer will be returned. If written notice of Cancellation of Services is provided by Client less than ten (10) days prior to the Event date, or if Clients cancel less than 10 days prior to the ceremony date, no refund will be issued, and the Officiant retains all amounts paid to date. Client shall be responsible for full payment of Services, except for local travel fees.

In the unlikely event that the Officiant is unable to perform on the day and at the time of the ceremony for unforeseen circumstances (i.e., hospitalization, automobile accident, and/or transportation breakdown, etc.), Officiant shall be allowed to make reasonable attempts to provide a replacement Officiant at no additional cost to Client. In event a suitable replacement officiant cannot be arranged, and Officiant must cancel this Agreement for Services, Client shall be refunded the full fees paid for the Services, including the Retainer. If the Officiant is unable to perform on the day and time for her own unforeseen reasons, the Officiant will make every effort to provide the last drafted version of the love story script to the couple’s replacement Officiant, in order that the Couple might retain the option of making full use of such prepared draft.

10. RESCHEDULING POLICY:

If the Clients wish to reschedule the ceremony to be performed by Officiant, the new date and time must receive final approval from the Officiant in writing and is subject to the Officiant’s availability.

If the Officiant is available on the new date and agrees to the change, all payments made will be applied towards the rescheduled ceremony.

If the Officiant is not available on the new date, or if the Clients fail to obtain written confirmation of the new date from the Officiant, the rescheduling will be treated as a cancellation, and the cancellation terms in the Agreement will apply.

Only one (1) reschedule is permitted under this Agreement unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the Officiant.

11. FORCE MAJEURE:

Neither party shall be held liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling their obligations under this Agreement due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, life-threatening weather events, acts of government, acts of violence, pandemics, strikes, or other unforeseen events.

In the event of a force majeure situation, the affected party will notify the other party as soon as possible. If the Officiant is unable to perform their duties due to such circumstances, the Clients will be entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid, including the retainer, unless the parties mutually agree to reschedule the ceremony date and/or time.
12. SATISFACTION GUARANTEE:
On the occasion that the Client is dissatisfied with Officiant’s Services at the Event, Client must notify the Officiant and provide the reason in both writing AND a personal phone call within 48 hours of the Event start time, and all money excluding paid Retainer will be refunded.

13. CEREMONY PROPS:

If the Event includes a sand ceremony, unity candle, flower ceremony and/or any other customized feature, Client is responsible for furnishing all equipment AND supplies needed to perform such feature(s).

14. PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE:
The Clients grant the Officiant permission to use any and all media, including photographs, videos, and audio recordings taken during the wedding ceremony script and personal story shared during the planning process, for promotional and marketing purposes. This includes use on the Officiant’s website, social media, and other promotional materials. Clients waive any right to payment, royalties, or any other consideration for the use of the images or stories.

If the Clients do not wish to have any media used, they must provide written notice to the Officiant prior to the ceremony. Clients waive any right to payment, royalties, or any other consideration for the use of the images or stories.

15. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Marriage License: The Clients are responsible for obtaining a valid Tennessee marriage license from the appropriate Clerk of Court and ensuring it is available for the Officiant on the day of the ceremony. The Officiant will not be held responsible for any issues related to the marriage license. ,

· Officiant Authority: The Officiant affirms that she is legally authorized and qualified to officiate marriages under the laws of Tennessee. The Officiant agrees to fulfill and abide all legal obligations related to the ceremony, including signing the marriage license and ensuring its proper submission to the relevant government office.

· LEGAL COMPLIANCE: The Clients agree to comply with all local and state regulations related to their obtaining their marriage license, signing their marriage license, and including but not limited to age, residency, and identity requirements.

16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

Any disputes arising from or related to the Agreement shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of Tennessee, USA. The parties agree to resolve any issues through mediation before seeking any other legal remedy. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute may be resolved through arbitration or in the courts of Decatur County, Tennessee, USA, as determined by the Officiant.

17. LIMITED LIABILITY:

The Officiant’s liability under this Agreement is limited to the total amount paid by the Clients for the services selected and booked with the Officiant. Officiant shall not be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to any delays, cancellations, or failure to perform by circumstances beyond their control, such as weather, transportation issues, or other unforeseen events.

18. PRIVACY

You are fully protected. The Officiant does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable or payment information.
